主啊！求你塑造我(的兒子)，
使我(他)夠堅強到能認識自己的軟弱；
當我(他)害怕時能夠勇敢面對自己；
坦承失敗，但毫不氣餒；
在勝利中，仍能謙遜溫和。
懇求塑造我(的兒子)，
不會空有幻想而缺乏行動；
我(他)將會認識你，並且知道，
認識自己乃是智慧的基石。
我祈禱，
願你引導我(他)走的不是安逸、舒適的道路，
而是，承受壓力、充滿艱難和挑戰，
讓我(他)學習在風暴中挺身站立，
讓我(他)學會體諒同理那些失敗的人。
求你塑造我(的兒子)，
心胸光明磊落，
目標遠大；
在領導別人之前，
先懂得駕馭自己；
記取過去的經驗教訓，
開創理想於未來。
當擁有以上的一切，
還要祈禱，賜予我(他)足夠的幽默感，
使我(他)能永保認真的態度，
卻不致對自己太過苛求。
懇求賜我(他)謙遜，
使我(他)永遠記牢，
真偉大中的簡單樸實，
真智慧中的虛懷若谷，
和真力量中的溫柔。
如此，我(這作父親的)，
才敢輕聲說：「我沒有虛度此生。」
